Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a reply message from Luong Cong, president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on November 1.

The message said:

I express my sincere thanks to you for sending me a congratulatory message on my election as president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

My visit to the DPRK in 2013 gave me a great many good impressions of the DPRK, a fine and beautiful country, and its friendly people holding their friends dear.

I am pleased that the traditional friendly relations between the two countries have been steadily consolidated and developed for the past 74 years.

The Vietnamese party, state and people always attach importance to the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK and, in particular, desire to further develop the bilateral friendly relations in conformity with the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development against a backdrop that our two countries are making preparations to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 2025.

I wish you good health and more successes in carrying out your noble heavy responsibility. -0-
