Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- An official delegation of the Russian Federation led by Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma, on a visit the DPRK to attend the inaugural ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on April 25.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Jo Yong Won, chairman of the Standing Committee of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jong Gyu, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and other officials of the Foreign Ministry, Vladimir Topeha, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Russian embassy here, and staff members of his embassy.

The guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up at the Liberation Tower.

The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.

A wreath in the name of the speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation was laid at the Liberation Tower amid the playing of the wreath-laying music.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army who devoted their precious lives to the sacred war for Korea's liberation before being briefed on the tower. -0-
