Pyongyang, December 5 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the mining industrial sector of the DPRK have turned out in the struggle to successfully conclude the year.

The December 5 Youth Mine is boosting the mineral output by exploring and applying advanced blasting methods. It has also made progress in the production of crystal mirabilite by raising the operation rate of transport equipment and introducing valuable technical innovation proposals.

The Songchon Mine manufactured and installed several dressing and hoisting equipment and increased the productivity by strengthening the inter-shift cooperation.

Kamuri, Riwon, Phungnyon, Yongyu, Jungsan and other mines are concentrating efforts on improving the performance of equipment to increase production.

The Munphyong Smeltery carried out its yearly national economic plan ahead of schedule by launching a technical innovation movement.
