Workers and Trade Union Members Meet to Vow Revenge on U.S. Imperialists

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) met at the plaza of the Central Class Education House on June 23 to vow revenge on the U.S. imperialists on the occasion of June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the GFTUK and officials and members of the trade union and workers in Pyongyang.

A report was made at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

A reporter and speakers said that though more than 70 years have passed since the war ceased, the thrice-cursed crimes committed by the enemies are still left as bitter grudge in the hearts of the working class and trade union members across the country.

The imperialists' ambition for aggression is getting more and more undisguised along with the passage of time and the enemies are seriously threatening the right of the Korean people to existence and development while persistently resorting to reckless nuclear war moves even at this moment, they said.

No matter how desperately the enemies may try, can they never match the people of today's powerful Korea who are firmly prepared politically and militarily under the leadership of the great brilliant commander, they stressed.

If the day comes to fight a decisive battle, they will give vent to the pent-up will of punishment and resentment, they said, adding that they will intensify the drive for increased production to achieve the overall development of Korean-style socialism by holding a rifle in one hand and a hammer of creation in the other.

At the end of the meeting, its participants looked round the Central Class Education House. -0-
