Anju Pump Factory Expands Production Potential

Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The Anju Pump Factory in the DPRK has made successes in perfecting overall production processes and improving the existing capacity by dint of self-reliance based on science and technology, true to the resolutions of the 6th and 7th plenary meetings of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The factory intensified the education for learning from the example of coal miners in South Phyongan Province who kindled the flames of the socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production, organized a socialist emulation among workshops and workteams in a substantial way and purposefully launched a mass technical innovation movement to expand the production potential.

In the course of intensifying the activities of the April 15 Technical Innovation Shock Brigade, it laid a foundation for satisfactorily processing the body of a large pump and increased the processing capacity by improving the performance of tens of machine tools.

Several workshops introduced a high-frequency heat treatment furnace with the help of teachers and researchers of Pyongyang University of Transport.

Recently, the factory has raised the quality of products by introducing modern measuring equipment, improved the production environment by installing dust collecting devices designed and manufactured by itself and developed various kinds of energy-saving pumps.

Officials, workers and technicians of the factory, who carried out the national economic plan for May ahead of schedule, are now making steady innovations to supply more efficient pumps to different sectors of the national economy. -0-
