One day in December 1992, President Kim Il Sung said officials that they should have a revolutionary viewpoint on the masses to become true servants of the people. Adding that he wrote "Believe in the people as in Heaven" in his reminiscences, which means that he regards the people as Heaven, he said that this is his opinion and philosophy.

He said that he regarded the masses of the people as heaven, served them and carried out the revolution by relying on their might all his life from the period when he embarked on the road of revolution. He noted that if a revolutionary believes in people and relies on them, he will win everything and emerge ever-victorious, but if he keeps himself aloof from them and is forsaken by them, he will always suffer a defeat, this truth was clearly proved through his long revolutionary practice.

Indeed, the whole life of the President was the one for the people, regarding it as his lifelong motto to believe in the people as in Heaven while always finding himself among them and bestowing all sorts of loving care. -0-
