Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Old People's Home marked its 80th founding anniversary.
Though President Kim Il Sung was very busy with the work to build a country, he took a measure for the state to take care of the old people who had no one to look after them and indicated the problems arising in improving the living of health-seekers.
Chairman Kim Jong Il made sure that a habit of treating the aged preferentially was established in the society and that health-seekers could enjoy a happy life without any inconvenience.
Thanks to the noble loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Pyongyang Old People's Home has turned into a cradle of happiness where the validity of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on protecting the aged is fully embodied.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un set as its founding day April 3, 1946 when the President gave instructions on improving the work of the old people's home soon after the liberation of the country. And he bestowed benevolence repeatedly so that health-seekers could enjoy a happy life in the era of the Workers' Party.
Officials and employees of the home have worked hard to take care of the health-seekers with warm affection, true to the noble intention of the peerlessly great persons and the Party's policy on protecting the aged.
A meeting took place on Thursday to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Pyongyang Old People's Home.
