Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- Farms across the DPRK have mainly finished the harvest of wheat and barley.

The counties of Unchon, Anak and Paechon in South Hwanghae Province have carried out their daily quotas of harvest by operating farm machines at full capacity.

Farms in South Phyongan Province have reaped cereals without any waste by supplementing farm machines and pushing ahead with the threshing in fields under the situation that the areas under wheat and barley cultivation have increased over 2 times

Different cities and counties including Jongju City and Yomju County of North Phyongan Province conducted a socialist emulation, harvesting and threshing in a three-dimensional way.

Agricultural workers in the counties of Hwangju, Yonthan and Suan of North Hwanghae Province have directed efforts to operating threshing means at full capacity and conducted mobile repair team activities to raise the operation rate of farm machines.
