Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Aleksandr Lukashenko, president of the Republic of Belarus, on September 9.

In the message, the Belarusian president, on behalf of compatriots and on his own behalf, extended congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the DPRK.

He said that the DPRK has overcome lots of trials for strengthening its people's spirit and defending its independence and peculiarity since it declared the founding of a sovereign state in 1948.

The history of the development of the relations between Minsk and Pyongyang serves as a model of the peace-loving mutual cooperation based on the principle of friendship and equal dialogue and the similarity in the view on moral and cultural value, he noted.

He said that he is recollecting the recent meeting with Kim Jong Un in Beijing with a warm heart.

He hoped that the cooperation between Belarus and the DPRK and the common work in international organizations would benefit the peoples of the two countries and boost the trust and mutual understanding.

On the occasion of the holiday, he wished Kim Jong Un good health and new successes and the citizens of the DPRK peace and prosperity. -0-
