North Phyongan Province Plants Good-species Trees

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in North Phyongan Province in the DPRK are planting trees of good species like Larix lepolepis, pine nut trees and chestnut trees with patriotism.

The province has mapped out a detailed plan for each stage in cities and counties and pushed ahead with the work to secure humus, manure and materials necessary for sapling production.

Officials of the province went to nurseries in cities and counties to learn about the sapling production and took measures to solve knotty problems in time.

Officials, working people and youth and children in Jongju City devote themselves to planting trees, looking forward to the day when young saplings would grow into big trees.

Kujang County is registering good records while applying the tree-planting method appropriate to the biological characteristics of the trees and soil conditions. Unsan County is striving to plant many good species of trees this year.
