Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea sent a message of condolence to the State Funeral Commission for former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Luong on May 24.

The SPA Standing Committee of the DPRK in its message expressed deep condolences to the government and people of Vietnam and the bereaved family upon hearing the sad news that Tran Duc Luong passed away.

Although Tran Duc Luong passed away, his feats for the cause of socialist construction of the Vietnamese people and the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Vietnam will remain forever in the hearts of the peoples of the two countries, the message stressed. -0-
