Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- Happy children across the DPRK greeted the June 1 International Children's Day with pleasure.
The children at all nurseries, kindergartens, baby homes and orphanages in the capital city and local areas spent a pleasant holiday amid the blessings of nurses and kindergarten teachers and parents.
Those of Kim Jong Suk Nursery, Kyongsang Kindergarten, Changgwang Kindergarten and Pyongyang Baby Home and Pyongyang Orphanage received apples and pears associated with the benevolence of the Workers' Party of Korea on their holiday.
Filled with the festive mood were Mirae Kindergarten in Phyongchon District, Ryomyong Kindergarten in Taesong District, Raengchon Kindergarten in Tongdaewon District, Hwasong Kindergarten No. 3 in Hwasong District, Segori Kindergarten in Pothonggang District, Tongsong-dong Nursery in Central District and Thosong-dong No. 1 Nursery in Rangnang District of Pyongyang.

They took part in the sports and amusement games, divided into "Chong" (blue) and "Hong" (red) teams, "Aircraft" and "Tank" teams, making the on-lookers delighted.
The children of Kanggye Baby Home, Phyongsong Orphanage, Sariwon Orphanage and Nampho Orphanage gave special performances.
Children at Kindergarten No. 2 of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, Kuje Kindergarten of Haeju City affiliated to Haeju Jo Ok Hui Teachers Training College, Phyonghwa Kindergarten in Wonsan City and Chongmae-dong Nursery in Sinuiju City enjoyed themselves with various folk games and amusement games.
On the same day, commercial service establishments, parks and pleasure grounds across the country were crowded with children spending a pleasant time with their parents. -0-
