Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Light Industry under the Ministry of Light Industry and the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute under the Ministry of Regional Industry in the DPRK are conducting brisk scientific research to contribute to implementing the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on regional development.

Those of the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute have conducted research and technical guidance to improve the quality of products at regional-industry factories since the beginning of the year.
The Food-processing Machine Research Institute is spurring the research to build special products production lines by relying on locally available raw materials and resources.
