April Spring Friendship Art Festival Opens in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The 34th April Spring Friendship Art Festival opened here to mark the 114th birth anniversary of President
The festival brought together famous art troupes, dance troupes and circus troupes of dozens of countries and art troupes of overseas Koreans.
Introduced, through a video dealing with the news of the festival opening, were form, method and scale of the current festival, and congratulatory speeches by personages of various circles and performances of artistes in different countries.
Hyon Un Chol, minister of Culture of the DPRK who is chairman of the festival organizing committee, warmly congratulated the creators and artistes of different countries and overseas compatriot artistes participating in the festival. And he declared the opening of the festival, expressing belief that the festival would mark a significant occasion in boosting cultural exchange and cooperation in line with the expectation of the DPRK people and the world progressives.
