Talks Held between Foreign Ministers of DPRK and Vietnam

Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, had talks with Le Hoai Trung, foreign minister of Vietnam on a visit to the DPRK as a special envoy of the general secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of Vietnam who is president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on May 13.

Choe Son Hui expressed the stand of the DPRK government to develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam in conformity with the aspirations and desire of the two peoples on the basis of the spirit of the agreement made between the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries at the historic Pyongyang meeting in October 2025.

Le Hoai Trung said that To Lam, general secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of Vietnam and president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese party, state and people are always paying deep attention to consistently giving importance to and strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK, wishing the Korean people bigger success in their struggle to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

At the talks both sides agreed to further deepen exchange and cooperation between the two countries in various fields and strengthen strategic communication and support and collaboration between foreign policy organs. And they exchanged views on regional and international issues.

Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Vice-Minister Pak Sang Gil and other officials of the Foreign Ministry and from the Vietnamese side the special envoy's party and Le Ba Vinh, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave a reception in welcome of the special envoy that evening. -0-
